The pilot of a twin-engine airplane was killed in a crash in Caldwell County on Thursday morning.

According to KTBC-TV in Austin, the crash happened off Highway 80 east of San Marcos at around 6:09 a.m.

The pilot was reported as the only casualty of the crash.
