NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -

Police say a man possibly wearing a wig with sunglasses robbed the Wells Fargo bank Thursday morning in New Braunfels, Texas.

Witnesses said the suspect entered the bank and displayed a weapon and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police said no suspect vehicle was seen in the area and no one was injured in the armed robbery.

The New Braunfels Police Department said witnesses described the suspect as a possible black male, dressed in dark woman's clothing, wearing a wig and sunglasses and believed to be 25 to 35 years of age. The suspect appeared to be 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall.

Police believe the suspect is also responsible for a series of bank robberies in Texas, including a robbery in Hillsboro in September at a Wells Fargo, Denton in October at a Wells Fargo, and two in New Braunfels, one at the Security Services Federal Credit Union and the other which occurred Thursday.
