SAN ANTONIO -

Police are looking for a gunman who shot a man in the head in an act of road rage, officials said.

It happened just after 9 p.m. on Friday outside an EZ Mart on Bynum road.

Police said a man driving a red truck was pulling out of the EZ MART when it clipped a light blue Mazda.

Someone in the Mazda fired a shot at the driver in the truck, authorities said.

Police said the driver tried to get away, continuing down South West Military, but the person in the Mazda fired another shot at the driver, causing him to lose control of the truck and slam into a fence.

Police said the driver was shot in the head and was taken to University Hospital.

There were two other men in that truck, but they were not hurt.

Police said it is not clear how many people were in the light Mazda, but the vehicle was last seen headed east toward downtown.
