LAS VEGAS -

A San Antonio man wanted for killing his pregnant wife last week reportedly killed himself in Las Vegas Wednesday morning as a task force closed in on the fugitive.

Narada Goodrum, 33, had been on the run for a week and had reportedly been tracked down to a motel just off the strip.

Bexar County officials are still waiting for official conformation from law enforcement in Las Vegas, but investigators there said Goodrum took his own life after a short foot chase. No officers fired at Goodrum and none were injured.

Goodrum was wanted by Bexar County for the murder of Cynthia Goodrum. She was found shot to death last week in her home in far west Bexar County.

Witnesses saw the couple arguing in the front yard before Goodrum allegedly dragged his wife inside the home by her hair.

The woman triggered a home alarm system which alerted police, but by the time they arrived, she was already dead.

It was later confirmed that Cynthia Goodrum was four months pregnant.

In the days leading up to her death, Goodrum filed for divorce and requested a restraining order against her husband the day before she was killed.

Bexar County investigators say they will continue to investigate the case to make sure Narada Goodrum was the man who killed his wife and that he acted alone.
