Police: Woman taught San Antonio teen to be prostitute
Jordann Depascalis, 21, charged with compelling prostitution
Jordann Depascalis, 21, is accused of teaching a teenage girl how to work as a prostitute.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, undercover detectives with the San Antonio Police Department first encountered the 16-year-old girl during a crackdown on juvenile prostitution last October.
Detectives said they met up with the teen, a runaway who was working as a prostitute, at a Southwest Side motel.
During questioning, the girl told investigators that she first met Depascalis in March 2012, and that the woman introduced her to the concept of online prostitution, the affidavit stated.
The girl said Depascalis showed her how to set up an online ad to attract customers, and even took part in servicing some of those customers with her, the affidavit stated.
Depascalis was arrested Wednesday on a charge of compelling prostitution.
Investigators also arrested some of the men who they believe were customers of the teen, the affidavit stated.
