SAN ANTONIO -

Police arrested a driver they said was drunk when he hit a motorcyclist and fled the scene.

The motorcyclist was traveling down an access road near Interstate 35 and Military Drive when she got rear-ended by a car late Saturday night, police stated.

The motorcyclist lost control of her bike and was injured. She was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police said they were able to catch the driver of the car after damage to his wheels made him stop.

The 19-year-old was arrested and will face charges of failure to stop and render aid and driving while intoxicated, police said.
