Driver sought in hit-and-run crashes
San Antonio police are on the lookout for a driver who left the scene of two crashes on the Northwest side.
The crashes happened within minutes of each other around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said someone driving a pickup truck hit a parked car in the 3300 block of Woodlawn Avenue and did not stop.
The driver then turned south on Camino Santa Maria, traveled to Culebra Road and hit the edge of the building that houses Northwest Furniture.
Damage to the building in the 3100 block of Culebra appeared to be relatively minor and contained to the outside. Pieces of its brick facade were left scattered on the ground.
Police said the driver bailed out of the truck after it hit the furniture store, and they were not able to locate that person immediately.
Officers said the air bags inside the pickup deployed during the crash.
