Power restored after Downtown SA goes dark

19 businesses affected, no major problems reported

Power outage in Downtown San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO -

Downtown San Antonio went dark late Tuesday night after CPS Energy said a network went out and four circuits shut down.

The outage occurred around 10 p.m. and affected at least 19 businesses including Alamo Plaza and the Crockett Hotel.

Most of the area affected was around Houston Street and Alamo Plaza.

Police said there were no reports of elevator rescues, traffic problems or injuries during the outage. CPS Energy crews were able to restore power around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
