A pregnant woman who was run down after a concert at the Alamodome has given birth to a baby boy.

San Antonio police said the incident started with argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend outside the Alamodome Saturday night.

Officers said two men intervened on behalf of the girlfriend and the boyfriend, identified as Manuel Rodriguez-Gutierrez, got into his car and tried to run over the two other men.

However, police said he missed them, crashed into five cars in the parking lot and struck the pregnant woman and her friend.

Both victims were taken to the hospital and the staff induced labor for the pregnant victim because of her injuries.

According to the mother, she and the baby are doing OK, and her friend was released.

Police arrested Rodriguez-Gutierrez and charged him with aggravated assault and driving while intoxicated.
