January prep school fire in Denton ruled arson, flammable liquid used to fuel blaze
DENTON, Texas (AP) — Investigators say a fire that damaged a North Texas prep school has been ruled arson.
Nobody was injured in the Jan. 26 blaze that destroyed the main building at Selwyn College Preparatory School in Denton.
Fire Marshal Rick Jones says testing of a carpet and nearby materials indicated a flammable liquid was used to fuel the blaze.
The Denton Record-Chronicle (http://bit.ly/zhAemj ) reports the lab results came back Tuesday.
Authorities say no one has been arrested over the fire that broke out before classes began for the day.
