A Judson High School freshman claims a bully stuck him in a trash can, which resulted in a staph infection and subsequent surgery.

The boy’s mother, Mary Ross, claims the incident took place in a campus bathroom on Nov. 2.

“It was one student and there were other students in the bathroom,” said Ross. “Because they were egging him on.”

But Judson ISD spokesman Steve Linscomb says an investigation into those claims turned up nothing.

Linscomb says they've looked at surveillance video from outside the restroom in question, and no one enters or exits the  restroom while the boy is inside.

“So far we have gone through video surveillance and student interviews as well,” said Linscomb. “Through both of those avenues, we haven't seen anything that would tell us he was injured in that bathroom."

What is clear, however, is that the injury was sustained on campus.

According to the police report, the boy had bruising and swelling on his shin.

“Somehow he was injured on campus,” said Linscomb. “We don't know when exactly it occurred, how exactly it occurred. That's what we're trying to find out. Whenever we get these bully reports we take them seriously.”
