SAN ANTONIO -

A brutal winter storm that blanketed West Texas Thursday brought a mix of light sleet and rain to the greater San Antonio area early Friday morning, but no traces of snow.

According to the National Weather Service, the chances of rain and sleet were expected to stay in the greater San Antonio area until the 1 p.m. Friday, then a chance of rain throughout the day. Friday's high will be near 44 with a low around 38.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain before 7 a.m. Saturday and skies are expected to clear with a high near 52.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 37, according to the National Weather Service.
