Registration begins for Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure
Participants can now sign up for face benefitting breast cancer
It's time to get in gear and and raise funds for breast cancer and even rally others to join teams at the starting line for the 16th annual Susan G. Komen race for the cure, here in San Antonio.
Monday was the official kick-off event and runners can now register to participate in the race, which takes place on Saturday, April 6, at the Alamodome.
"We have a 10k run, 5k run, a one-mile fun walk, which is great for families and non-competitive runners. We also have Sleep In for the Cure, if you don't want to get up at all, and HEB has been one of our sponsors for 11 consecutive years," said Tyler Davies, Komen San Antonio Race Chairperson.
Teams and individuals can register and start gathering donations.
Organizers announced that more than $1 million was raised at the 2012 Race for the Cure.
