Republicans have reportedly passed new restrictions that are expected to close almost every abortion clinic in Texas.
The vote came following a nearly 11-hour filibuster by Democratic Senator Wendy Davis in an attempt to block the vote.
Her filibuster ended after Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst determined she strayed off topic by mentioning a sonogram bill that passed in 2011.
The new restrictions would shut down most abortion centers.
The Associated Press reported Democrats appealed the decision and want a vote. There is still some discussion as to whether the session has ended.
