SAN ANTONIO -

A man was hospitalized after he crashed into a guardrail early Thursday morning on the near northeast side.

The crash happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 35 at George Beach Avenue.

Police said the driver, Armando Coronado, 30, lost control of the SUV, slammed into the guardrail and flipped the SUV.

Police said rescue crews had to cut the roof off of the SUV to remove Coronado, who police said was not wearing a seatbelt.

Coronado was taken to Northeast Baptist Hospital with injuries to his head and arm and was in stable condition.
