Robber strikes I-10 bank
Police on lookout for man after bank near Dominion gets hit
A robber was on the run after he held up an I-10 bank Saturday morning.
Police say the man walked into the Compass Bank in the 24100 block of I-10 on the far northwest side around 11:45 a.m.
Clerks told investigators the man had a gun and demanded cash.
After he got it police say he ran to a tan or cream colored truck and took off.
They say the truck has a double cab.
Investigators also say there was another person in the truck with the bank robber when he left.
They say he headed south on the I-10 access road toward the Dominion.
Police searched the area on the ground and from the air, but did not find the bank robber.
Investigators say the bank did have surveillance cameras, and they will be looking at the video for more clues.
No word on just how much money the bank robber got away with.
