A man suspected in a string of robberies at several local gas stations on Tuesday is now in custody.
Thursday, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrest Marshall Aponte, 19, at a gas station on West Avenue.
U.S. Marshals said Aponte was wanted in connection with several recent gas station robberies.
According to an affidavit, Aponte not only matches the description of the suspect's physical build, but that they also recovered a text message that he sent to a friend saying, "just robbed the exon" and, "2 pistols and made 300 dollars."
One of the places robbed Tuesday was the Speedy Stop in the 10100 block of San Pedro near Sahara.
Police said the suspect had a handkerchief over his face and was holding two black semi-automatic handguns, one in each hand.
The clerk said he cocked one of them before taking money from the register and leaving with two cans of Bud Light.
Police were called to three more gas stations robberies Tuesday morning by a man matching the same description.
When Aponte was arrested Tuesday, he was found with some clothing used in Tuesday's robbery spree, a gun and some drugs.
In addition to multiple charges of aggravated robbery, Aponte has also been charged with drug possession.
