SAN ANTONIO -

An intruder walked into a South Side home and robbed the homeowner late Wednesday night.

Police received reports of the robbery around 9:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of La Violeta.

A neighbor said a 50-year-old homeowner was alone when the suspect walked into the house through an unlocked door.

The suspect reportedly pulled out a gun and demanded money.

The victim then gave the suspect a couple of dollars, his wedding ring and some cigarettes. The man fled the area, police said.
