SAN ANTONIO -

A man wearing a ski mask and a camouflage sweatshirt robbed a northwest side IHOP at gunpoint early Monday morning.

San Antonio police said the suspect walked into the IHOP in the 11700 block of Bandera Road around 3 a.m. and forced the manager and another worker into the freezer.

The suspect then took money from the register, two safes and a night deposit totaling several thousand dollars, San Antonio police said.

The manager and employee were able to get out of the freezer a short time later and call police.

They gave officers a description of the suspect, who remained at large as of 9 a.m. Monday.
