SAN ANTONIO -

Police have arrested a 34-year-old roofer accused of taking repair money from an elderly woman and never returning to complete the work.

An arrest affidavit stated Jose Carrillo was hired in October to repair the woman's roof and provide new shingles.

According to the affidavit, Carrillo accepted two checks for $500 and $800 for the work, but was never heard from.

Police tracked Carrillo down this week and charged with theft from the elderly.
