A runner is dead after he collapsed during Sunday's San Antonio Rock and Roll marathon.
Race officials confirmed the runners death, saying they are deeply saddened by the event.
Weather conditions for the race were hard on the runners, and dozens collapsed on the race route or in the finishing area.
Fog hung in the air as the race started, and didn't lift for a couple of hours.
High temperatures and bright sun then made racing even worse.
The medical examiner's office says the man is 32-year-old Jorge Fernandez of San Antonio.
Participants of the race say he finished the half marathon before he collapsed.
An autopsy is set for Monday.
