Professional drink makers and the vendors behind the liquor labels are stirring up downtown.
The San Antonio Cocktail Conference kicked off Thursday.
One of the Saturday sessions included a skills competition. Bartenders were given drink orders and challenged to have the proper measurements in each beverage. The top mixologist won $4,000.
Conniseurs are also getting in on the action, which included a tasting room full of whiskeys, vodkas, tequilas and more.
There are two events scheduled for the final day of the conference. Sunday morning, there's a Bloody Mary brunch and later there's a session on the evolution of tequila.
