SA Rock 'n' Roll Marathon moves to December

SAN ANTONIO -

Runners planning to take part in next year's San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll Marathon will have an extra month to train.

The race has been moved back nearly a month to Dec. 8 of next year. It was originally scheduled for Nov. 17, 2013. The race will be the last stop on the North American Tour.

Race organizers have not confirmed whether the heat was a deciding factor for the change, but temperatures over the past few years have reached the high 70s.
