The stars at night aren't the only things shining bright deep in the heart of Texas.
Kim Miller Drummond with MyPlates.com said Wednesday more than 6,100 Texans have put hearts on their official license plates. The option was added in 2010.
"Texans have purchased more than 130,000 My Plates since November 2009, putting more than $14.7 million in the state general fund," Drummond said.
