A toddler identified as 16-month-old Mason Castillo died Sunday night after he drowned in a family pool during a get together in the 600 block of Erline.
First responders and police were called to the West Side home around 9 p.m. Officers said the boy was outside the house swimming with some other children when they noticed he was missing.
The adults, who police said were inside the house, were alerted about the missing toddler and pulled the boy from the pool.
They gave him CPR and called 911, but he did not respond. He was pronounced dead after EMS crews took him to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital.
Police said the drowning was under investigation, but appeared to be accidental.
