SAPD: Mother turns in suspect in college party slaying
Leandre Vonzell Hil charged in Randall Perkins slaying
San Antonio police arrested a man accused of fatally shooting a 20-year-old man at a college party two weeks ago.
Leandre Vonzell Hill, 22, was arrested Saturday night in connection with the slaying of Randall Perkins on March 24.
Perkins was gunned down after a fight at a party in the 6500 block of Hausman Road at the Aspen Heights student apartments near UTSA's main campus.
Police believe Hill was not invited to the party and was asked to leave.
According to police, he then opened fire and hit Perkins and another man who is recovering from his injuries.
Police issued three warrants for Hill's arrest and said his mother turned him in.
The arrest warrants were for murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and for a home burglary unrelated to Perkins shooting.
