SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police have identified the woman whose body was found in Espada Park on Sunday afternoon.

Police said the body of Vanessa M. Lopez, 25, was found in the San Antonio river in a portion of Mission Reach.

Investigators believed that Lopez had been in the water for several days.

That portion of the river extension project is still under construction so the park is closed off to the public.
