SE House Fire Ignites Twice

SAN ANTONIO -

A house fire in the 400 block Kashmuir Place restarted Tuesday after fire crews thought they had it knocked down.

The battalion chief was about to be interviewed by KSAT 12 News about the fire when crews noticed smoke coming out of the house during the mop-up phase.

The chief stopped the interview and took command of firefighting operations.

Fire crews say they don't know what started the blaze but they think it started in a bedroom in the back of the house.

They said it appeared to restart once it reached the attic.

No one was home at the times of the fires but, a puppy did not survive.

Kashmuir Place is on the south east side not far from East Southcross and Goliad Road.
