SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police arrested two men Tuesday evening - nearly six weeks after the pair allegedly broke into an east side warehouse and stole $120,000 worth of vehicle batteries.

26-year-old Justin Harris and 28-year-old Christopher Harris were arrested without incident on Tuesday at an east side apartment complex.

"Over the last few days, we were able to develop a lot of information, credible information," said San Antonio police department spokesperson Sandy Gutierrez. "Not only on who the suspects were but where the property could be found."

One the night of December 1, the pair allegedly broke into Exide Technologies at 8569 NE Loop 410 located at the back of an industrial business park.

The next day, an Exide employee saw that a back door had been pried open and called police. The thieves stole 16 pallets of vehicle batteries, up to 800, which had a value of $120,000.

They also stole an industrial scale and loading ramps. Police believe the suspects needed a tractor trailer to haul away all of the stolen merchandise. Both men were charged with 2nd degree felony theft.
