SAN ANTONIO -

San Marcos police, working with U.S. Marshals, have arrested a man in San Antonio accused in the sexual assault of a woman at an apartment in San Marcos.

After a three-day search, Jonathan Porterie, 22, was arrested Tuesday night at his mother’s home in the 200 block of Hosack Avenue. Investigators said he was taken into custody without incident, and was transported to the Hays County Law Enforcement Center.

Additional charges may be filed against Porterie and family members may face charges for harboring a fugitive.

Porterie is accused in the sexual assault of a woman at the University Club Apartments in San Marcos. Police said the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said Porterie is a former resident of the apartment complex, and had been arrested twice in September for entering the unlocked apartments of young female residents.

On Sept. 7, Porterie was charged with criminal trespass of habitation, a misdemeanor, after a woman told police she discovered him in her room standing near her bed.
