SAN ANTONIO -

A second baby has died as a result of a tragic accident that ended a high-speed chase on Wednesday.

One-year-old Wesley Maspero died after he was taken off life support at University Hospital today.

The baby's three-year-old brother Walter died Wednesday when a driver evading police slammed head-on into his family's car at Interstate 35 South and Shepherd Road.

Police said the driver, identified as David Rodriguez, reached speeds of over 100 mph while fleeing through Interstate 35 South.

A trio of teddy bears now marks the spot of the crash.

Rodriguez now faces capital murder charges and federal drug charges, authorities said.

The boys' four-year-old sibling and their mother have been released from the hospital.
