Second suspect jailed in West Side home invasion
Starla Martin, 19, charged with aggravated robbery
Police arrested a second person Tuesday for a home invasion that happened over the weekend.
Starla Martin, 19, was arrested at an apartment on the West Side. That's where an officer found stolen property, guns and a mask used in the home invasion on June 16.
According to the arrest affidavit, Martin and 18-year-old Zachary Martinez knocked on the door of a home on the 9600 block of Woodland Hills.
When the victim answered, they forced their way inside with guns. The victim told police that Martinez was wearing a black and silver mask.
The suspects hog tied the victim and taped his eyes and mouth shut. They allegedly ransacked the home for about 30 minutes before leaving with several electronics and a television, the affidavit stated.
Police arrested Martinez on Sunday. He told police that Martin was involved, according to the affidavit.
An officer found the black and silver mask in the apartment where Martin was arrested. Both suspects are charged with aggravated robbery.
