Seguin Road to I-10 to be expanded

Drivers will get some much-needed traffic relief in the area of Loop 1604 East from lower Seguin Road to I-10 East.

That section will be expanded from a 2-lane highway with traffic signals to a 4-lane highway.

Officials presented the project to residents Wednesday night, and said the improvements are long overdue.

"We are growing by leaps and bounds and the challenge right now is just to play catchup to the pace of growth," said Pct. 4 Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Adkisson.

The project is slated to start this summer and is expected to take 18 months.
