Firefighters had their hands full with a couple of fires Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

The first blaze broke out Wednesday just before 10 p.m. at the Enclave Apartments in the 1500 block of Jackson Keller Road.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the 12th floor.  The two floors above and below were evacuated.

Investigators believe work done to the air conditioning may have sparked the blaze. The extent of the damage is unknown.

About two hours later, crews responded to a house fire in the 1600 block of Claybrook.
The blaze was quickly contained.

Investigators believe the fire originated in a bedroom closet but the cause is still under investigation. No one was injured in either fire.
