SAN ANTONIO -

An Air Force trainer at a San Antonio base faces a hearing on whether he gets court-martialed for having sex with trainees.

Staff Sgt. Eddy Soto is accused of "having an unprofessional relationship with a female trainee" and sexually assaulting two female former trainees at Lackland Air Force Base. He's scheduled for an Article 32 hearing at Lackland on Thursday. That's the military equivalent of a civilian grand jury session.

However, Air Force spokesman Brent Boller says the northeastern superstorm could affect witness travel and delay the start of the hearing.

Investigators say more than 40 women at Lackland in the past year had inappropriate contact with instructors or were sexually harassed or raped. Five instructors have been convicted since July. Nearly a dozen others have been under investigation.
