Three siblings allegedly taken by their grandmother from Somerset Elementary School have been found safe after an AMBER Alert was issued Thursday night.
Paul Berry, a spokesman for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, said late Thursday the children were found on the 500 block of Lakebend near Kirby.
Their grandmother, Elida Leal, was taken into custody but had not been charged with a crime.
Somerset Independent School District spokesman Maury Vasquez said Leal took 9-year-old Jose Olvera, 8-year-old Juan Garcia and 7-year-old Annaliza Garcia from their school. A court order bars her from having contact with the children.
