Some kindergartners at Kinder Ranch Elementary got a special surprise on Wednesday afternoon.
Three sisters -- triplets -- got to see their father for the first time in six months.
Lt. Col. Timothy Phillips surprised his daughters, Taylor, Madison and Cadence, at school after a tour in Afghanistan.
The sisters thought they were going to be practicing their Christmas songs with the rest of the class when their father came out to greet them.
When the sisters saw their father, they ran to hug him.
"I'm just glad to be home for the holidays," said Phillips. "I have three beautiful girls and a beautiful wife and I'm blessed to be back."
Phillips was joined by his wife, Tana Phillips, at the very special reunion.
"It was really hard to watch him walk away from us at the airport in June," said Tana Phillips. "And it's just a wonderful surprise that we're going to be all together for Christmas."
Taylor Phillips said she was looking forward to making cookies with her father.
Tana Phillips said they are just looking forward to being together.
"We put up the Christmas tree," said Tana Phillips. "But some of the other things like putting up the Christmas lights, we saved that because that's a tradition with us. We wanted to do it as a family."
