Sources: San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro to discuss immigration laws in Washington D.C.

Sources say San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro will testify next week in front of the House Judiciary Committee in Washington D.C.

Castro will reportedly talk about immigration laws and how they can be improved. Sources have told KSAT that Castro will also likely be the only democrat witness to speak on immigration during the Capitol Hill hearing.

In September, Mayor Castro gave a keynote address during the Democratic National Convention. He also campaigned for President Barack Obama across the country.

The House Judiciary Committee will hold the meeting on Tuesday. Castro is expected to announce his plan to run for re-election on Saturday.
