David Lugo, 19, stabbed brother during family dispute
David Lugo, 19, Is facing charges in connection with the stabbing of his brother during a family dispute in their south Bexar County home last week.
Bexar County sheriff's detectives arrested Lugo Tuesday, almost a week to the day since he went on the run.
Lugo's mother called deputies to the family's home in the 1300 block of Yellow Sky last Wednesday.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Lugo had intervened in a fight involving his brother and sister, and stabbed his brother in the process.
Detectives at the scene had said Lugo was protecting his sister who was being beaten by the other brother, and picked up a kitchen knife possibly in self-defense.
Both the brother who was stabbed and the sister had to be taken to a hospital for treatment.
After the stabbing, Lugo disappeared into a wooded area behind his home.
Detectives quickly called off the search for him, but said they would continue investigating.
The affidavit did not state where investigators found Lugo. He's facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
