The step-grandmother of a 5-year-old boy who died two days after Christmas was arrested Thursday on a charge of injury to a child.

Police said Gloria Proo was a caregiver to Josiah Williams and was responsible for disciplining the boy.

On Dec. 27, police said the boy was found unresponsive in the family's home on the 3900 block of Gayle Avenue.

Investigators became suspicious after noticing injuries to the boy's body. An autopsy indicated signs of abuse, malnutrition and neglect.

Josiah's father, 25-year-old Charleston Williams and his 27-year-old stepmother, Crystal Williams were arrested for his death. Proo is the mother of Crystal Williams.
