A northwest side convenience store continues to sell what it labels "potpourri," even after San Antonio police raided the business last week, accusing them of selling synthetic marijuana.
The Best Foods No. 2 store, located at the corner of Loop 410 and Evers, was surrounded by police last week, who pulled out over $500,000 worth of goods suspected of being synthetic marijuana.
Synthetic marijuana is an illegal substance under state law.
But the store re-upped its supply, and is continuing to sell the products in question.
No one from the store would speak about the issue, referring all inquiries to a lawyer.
A call placed to that lawyer, Joseph Acevedo, was not returned.
The store’s owners have not been charged with any crimes, and won’t be, unless tests performed on the seized items prove that they are synthetic marijuana, and not potpourri, as the store’s owners claim.
