Hours of searching for a killer ended when Real Co. officers found the man dead Sunday morning.

The suspect apparently killed himself on his property Leakey and Camp Wood.

They say Robert Bryan Jones shot and killed two people and wounded a third Saturday afternoon, then left the murder scene on an ATV.

Real County Judge Garry Merritt says they found Jones in a ravine, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

After the killing sheriff's deputies, DPS and Border Patrol searched the area for the 52 year-old Jones, but Merritt says the area is heavily wooded and remote.

He says the sheriff's office is now investigating and attempting to find out just why Jones killed the victims.

He says the dead are a man and woman, and a girl was wounded.

The judge says no identities are available but the girl is related to the dead woman.

Real Co., about 120 miles west of San Antonio.
