SAN ANTONIO -

A tipster and surveillance pictures are getting the credit for leading San Antonio police to Louis Montoya, 29, a suspect in a robbery outside a North Side Walmart last Tuesday.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that a woman reported the robbery, telling police that she was sitting her convertible car of the WalMart near N. Loop 1604 and Highway 281 when it happened.

The woman told officers a man drove up in another car, got out and pointed a gun at her head, the affidavit stated. She said she threw her wallet out of the car, and the robber grabbed it and drove away.

Police aired surveillance pictures taken from the store on local TV news stations last week. The affidavit stated that a tipster called police, identifying Montoya as the man in the pictures.

Montoya was arrested Friday on a charge of aggravated robbery.
