A driver was believed to be drunk when he drove the wrong way on the Southeast Side and crashed head-on into an SUV, San Antonio police said.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of East Southcross Boulevard.
Police said 43-year-old Darrin Clark was driving a Lincoln Towncar heading east in the westbound lanes of E. Southcross when he crashed head-on into a Chevy Suburban.
Clark suffered a possible broken leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment and for a mandatory blood draw.
Paul Valdez, Jr., 45, was driving the Suburban. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
Officers at the scene said they found an open container of alcohol inside the Lincoln. Police have not said what charges Clark could face.
