Suspected drunk driver causes wrong-way crash on Roosevelt Avenue
SAPD: Driver facing second DWI, charged with intoxication assault; Passenger in other vehicle suffers broken arm
San Antonio police believe a man was drunk when he drove the wrong-way in the 4800 block of Roosevelt Avenue, and crashed head-on into another vehicle.
Officers responded to the South Side accident around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
San Antonio police said a 29-year-old man was driving a white minivan southbound in the northbound lanes of Roosevelt when he struck a car carrying three people, including a child.
Only one person suffered injuries. A woman was taken to the hospital with a broken arm.
The driver who police believe caused the accident is facing a second DWI, and will be charged with intoxication assault, San Antonio police said.
