Suspicious car fire spreads to east San Antonio home

San Antonio fire officials said a suspicious car fire broke out early Monday morning, and spread to an East Side home.

Fire crews responded to the fire just before 4 a.m. in the 5800 block of Hidden Lake, which is located in the Lakeside subdivision off Rigsby Road.

Firefighters said the fire spread from the SUV to the exterior of the home, but they were able to put it out before it caused any interior damage. No injuries were reported and damage estimates were unknown.

San Antonio fire investigators call the fire suspicious because the SUV had been parked outside for several hours when it caught fire.
