The Southside Independent School District says it has put a band teacher on administrative leave pending an investigation into whether he was poking children inappropriately.

He teaches at Losoya Intermediate School.

A spokesman for the district says Southside does not believe there are any accusations about the teacher touching any children's private parts.

The district says he was just poking them in an inappropriate fashion.

He was placed on leave late last week.
