A 16-year-old girl died in a single-car crash late Wednesday night near Interstate 35 and Wiedner Road in northeast San Antonio.
Police said Andrea Reyna was speeding eastbound on Crosswinds Way when she lost control of her car as she drove around a curve.
Police said Reyna's 2-door hatchback jumped the curb and crashed into a brushy area.
According to police, Reyna was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said speed was a primary factor in the crash. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor.
