A driver believed to be in his late teens was shot dead during an apparent carjacking in a neighborhood not far from UTSA’s main campus.
San Antonio police responded to the 300 block of Allendale Oak around 11:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting, and found the victim dead outside a home.
Officers at the scene said it appears he was shot by someone who was attempting to steal his car.
They said the victim then went to a home on Allendale Oak, looking for help.
As of 6 a.m., the staff at the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office had made only a tentative identification of the victim but did confirm he is in his late teens.
