The crane driver killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Atascosa County has been identified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as 60-year-old Domingo Mendoza of Alice, TX.

DPS officials say Mendoza was driving a crane south of Jourdanton at the intersection of Highway 16 and FM 140 when the crane was struck by a truck.

Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was taken to a hospital in fair condition. DPS officials said the crash remains under investigation.
